COMPANY MISSION STATEMENT
Chromaceutical's professionals have broad technical backgrounds developed over years of industrial, academic and contract work. This allows us to tackle unusual projects where analytical chemistry is a prerequisite for research, development, problem solving and discovery. In a world of three-dimensional molecules embedded in a "real world" of multidimensional problems, most issues can only be understood after studying several angles. Thus, any application of useful analytical chemistry must be able to interface with the demands of other disciplines.
Whereas some jobs document quality control and assurance in manufacturing operations, other jobs require analytical method development and validation according to International Commission on Harmonisation (ICH) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines. In other cases, our keen understanding of analytical chemistry in a context of problem solving dynamics gives added value to data that would ordinarily go unnoticed by a customer. In still other instances, the creativity and imagination of Chromaceutical scientists permits development of new products. These efforts can involve Chromaceutical alone or collaborative ventures with partners in industry or government. Whatever the case, our ability to apply analytical chemistry to certain industry sectors can lead to unrecognized product potentials, more effective analytical methods that support a business, extension of existing products into new markets, containment of industry costs or address unique health, safety and environmental issues.
Since separation science underscores most analytical problems, chromatography provides Chromaceutical's core technology. This focus reflects many years of staff competence in research, contract service applications, separation media manufacture and analytical data analysis using chromatography as an unparalleled tool for analytical detection capabilities. With pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and advanced biotech-research as supporting elements, Chromaceutical Advanced Technologies became the obvious name for the business in 1999. Along with ordinary chromatographic methods, Chromaceutical provides laser light scattering analysis of association colloids and polymers as a specialty plus a wide range of supporting analytical services for our customers specified elsewhere on this site.
Many examples underscore the range of disciplinary study afforded by Chromaceutical's staff. Some examples include brain chemistry; nutritional biochemistry; geriatric nutrition; food product development; natural product isolation; toxicants; clinical diagnostics; bio-medical technology; unit process engineering in areas ranging from sulfur extraction at natural gas well heads to pulsed electric field stem cell isolation methods; characterization of irradiated foods; biochemical criteria for calcium stoichiometry of osteoporotic bone; chromium requirements in human metabolism; pharmacokinetics of colloidal starches; advanced methods of non-thermal pasteurization and too many other areas to mention. These areas of study are possible only because our scientists understand the practical application, value and significance of good analytical chemistry embedded in strategically planned programs of laboratory investigation and discovery.
